General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Significant changes to Data Protection legislation were introduced on 25th May 2018. The new regulations, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is an EU wide legislation and will be regulated in the UK by the Information Commissioners Office (ICO). These regulations apply to all organisations, including schools, who process personal data.

The GDPR sets out a number of important principles governing how personal data is collected, held and processed. GDPR compliance will be monitored and we will respond to any issues or concerns once identified either internally or externally to ensure that we remain compliant at all times.

If you have any concerns or questions relating to GDPR, please contact the school or the Trust’s Data Protection Officer, Alison Hope who can be contacted at dataprotection@greenwoodacademies.org
